godot ? a profile
godot communication technologies is a leading manufacturer of communication servers. Indeed,
godot presented its first internet server appliance at the CeBIT in 1998 with its product innovation ?Godot ? Der Kommunikationsserver?. This was followed in 1999 with the introduction of the second-generation ?Godot QB? model, a higher performance communication server for small-to-medium-sized companies.
By continuing to develop its own software solutions, godot has been able to make a large number of
electronic communication functions available on its communication server appliances. At the same time, godot has also established itself as an OEM manufacturer with its internet server appliances.
Deutsche Telekom AG incorporated the godot communication server into its sales program in January 2000 under the name of ?Smart Office S?.
godot?s current range of products offers server solutions for between 5 and 250 workstations. Its
products stretch from inexpensive starter solutions for small offices and home offices (SOHO) to highperformance models for small-to-medium-sized businesses (SMB) to special solutions for internet service providers (ISP) and application service providers (ASP).
godot was founded in 1997 as godot Kommunikationselektronik GmbH in Berlin, before being renamed to godot communication technologies gmbh in March 2000. 70 percent of the company?s capital stock is owned by the management, 30 percent by financial investors.
